Bulletin 2007-5: Application of NAIC Manuals and Other Publications
Oregon Insurance Administrator Joel Ario issued Bulletin 2007-5 to affirm the Department's reliance on National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) publications. The directive requires insurers to comply with standards in the NAIC Accounting Practices and Procedures Manual and the Securities Valuation Office's Valuation of Securities manual. This mandate is authorized under Oregon Revised Statutes and takes effect immediately upon issuance on June 25, 2007.
