The Connecticut Department of Banking announces the scheduled closing of a New Haven County Credit Union branch at 175 Sherman Avenue on April 15, 2011. The Commissioner issued a Temporary Order to Cease and Desist and notices of intent to impose civil penalties against American Mortgage Auditors, Inc. for engaging in unlicensed debt negotiation and collecting non-compliant fees. Separate notices of intent were also issued against Matthew Smith and YourMortgageRights.com for offering debt negotiation services without the required license. Written comments regarding these enforcement actions must be submitted within ten days of the bulletin's publication.
