The Connecticut Department of Banking entered into consent orders with The Brachfeld Law Group, Nafisa LLC, and Charles Morgan Securities, Inc. for regulatory violations. The Brachfeld Law Group agreed to pay a $7,500 civil penalty for operating as an unlicensed consumer collection agency. Nafisa LLC was cited for unlicensed check-cashing activities and excessive fees. Charles Morgan Securities, Inc. must pay a $15,000 fine and reimburse up to $3,500 for examination costs due to securities law violations.
