The Connecticut Department of Banking solicits written public comments on Farmington Bank's intent to open a branch in Wethersfield, with submissions due within ten days. The Department also reports enforcement actions against four California entities for unlicensed debt negotiation and collection activities in Connecticut. These actions include a $90,000 civil penalty and fee repayment order for 1st American Law Center, and consent orders requiring Oak View Law Group to pay $3,000 and repay fees, and Dennis Scott Carruthers to pay $2,000. Additionally, temporary cease and desist orders were issued against Pathway Financial Management, Inc. and The Klosk Law Group, Inc., alleging violations of licensing and fee collection statutes.
