The Connecticut Department of Banking imposed a $2,000 civil penalty on On Deck Mortgage Services LLC for employing unlicensed mortgage loan originators between May 2009 and November 2010. Additionally, the Commissioner ordered The Lloyd Ward Group, PC to cease and desist from unlicensed debt negotiation activities, pay a $500,000 civil penalty, and repay $2,668.74 in non-compliant fees to a Connecticut resident. These enforcement actions address violations of Sections 36a-486(b) and 36a-671(b) of the Connecticut General Statutes.
