The Connecticut Department of Banking approved the merger of Hartford Postal Employees Credit Union into American Eagle Federal Credit Union. The Commissioner revoked the license of Inchek, LLC and imposed a $10,000 civil penalty for failing to provide examination information, while issuing cease and desist orders against C.A. Financial Group and The Mortgage Law Group for unlicensed debt negotiation. Additionally, the department imposed a $3,000 penalty on Law Offices of Andreu, Palma & Andreu and $100,000 penalties on Rawlins & Rivera, Inc. entities for operating as unlicensed consumer collection agencies. In securities matters, the Commissioner issued cease and desist orders and notices of intent to fine Ronald Marvin and related entities for unregistered investment advising and misappropriation of partnership funds, and accepted a $8,050 settlement from IHS Herold Inc. for employing unregistered agents.
