The interest rate for public service company, certified telecommunications provider, and electric supplier customer security deposits is set at 1.5% for the period January 1, 2013, through December 31, 2013. The Commissioner issued notices of intent to issue cease and desist orders and impose civil penalties against C.U. Members Mortgage Corporation and Charter Oak Lending Group LLC for failing to file required information on the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry. Additionally, Persels & Associates, LLC received a temporary cease and desist order for unlicensed debt negotiation, Legal Loan Review Inc. was ordered to repay fees and pay a $100,000 civil penalty for unlicensed debt negotiation and excessive fees, and Anilom Mortgage Corporation and Samuel Molina Jr. had their licenses revoked under a consent order.
