The Connecticut Department of Banking approved Darien Rowayton Bank's acquisition of a Patriot National Bank branch and scheduled the closing or relocation of three United Bank branches in Connecticut. The Commissioner revoked consumer collection agency licenses for Zenith Acquisition Corp. and Creditors Interchange Receivable Management LLC for failing to maintain required surety bonds. Enforcement actions included restitution orders and cease and desist notices against National Credit Relief Bureau, Claremont Funding LLC, and New Life Financial Solutions Inc. for unlicensed debt negotiation, while consent orders required Fairview Mortgage Corp, Mortgage One Financial Services Corporation, and Chrysalis Funding of Connecticut, LLC to pay civil penalties for reporting violations. Additional orders imposed civil penalties of $100,000 each on Geneva-Roth Ventures, Inc. and WJE Enterprises, Inc. for unlicensed lending and excessive fees.
