The Connecticut Department of Banking approved Cole Taylor Mortgage's application to establish a loan production office in Fairfield, Connecticut. The Commissioner issued Orders to Cease and Desist and imposed $100,000 civil penalties on Montgomery & Meyers PA Corporation and Sameer Qadri d/b/a Accredited Law Group for operating as unlicensed consumer collection agencies and engaging in unlicensed debt negotiation. Additionally, a Temporary Order to Cease and Desist and an Order to Make Restitution were issued against Universal Debt Services Inc. for unlicensed debt negotiation activities, requiring repayment of fees to affected Connecticut residents.
