The Connecticut Department of Banking entered into consent orders with Long Ridge Mortgage, Silver Fin Capital Group, and Quantum Mortgage, each requiring a $2,500 civil penalty for failing to timely file required mortgage call reports. The Commissioner issued cease and desist orders and $100,000 civil penalties against Independence Law Group and Receivables Management Solutions Incorporated for operating without a license and failing to maintain surety bonds, respectively. Titanium Solutions, Inc. had its consumer collection agency license revoked for failing to maintain a surety bond. Additionally, temporary cease and desist orders and restitution orders were issued against Mortgage Counseling Center, Mortgage Help for America, and Residential Home Funding Corp. for unlicensed debt negotiation activities or examination non-cooperation.
