The Connecticut Department of Banking approved Simsbury Bank and Trust Company's branch at 850 Straits Turnpike in Simbury and filed an application for The Washington Trust Company's new branch in Darien. A hearing is scheduled for June 24, 2014, regarding the organization of Voya Institutional Trust Company as a Connecticut trust bank. Additionally, the Commissioner issued Notices of Intent to Issue Orders to Cease and Desist and impose civil penalties against four mortgage lenders for failing to file required annual information on the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry.
