The Connecticut Department of Banking lists branch activity applications for First County Bank, Fairfield County Bank, Thomaston Savings Bank, and Simsbury Bank & Trust, noting filings, approvals, and closures. The Commissioner issued a cease and desist order and $100,000 civil penalties against Transfer Services, Lawson Financial, Brian C. Solomon, and John Ortega for unlicensed debt negotiation, while issuing a temporary cease and desist against Rivercrest Credit Services for unlicensed residential mortgage lending. Additionally, the Department entered consent orders requiring Classic Mortgage to pay a $2,500 penalty for reporting violations and Rockville Corner Market to pay a $1,000 penalty for unlicensed check cashing. Andre Paul Young was barred from transacting business in Connecticut for five years and ordered to cease and desist for misappropriating client funds.
