Gateway Funding Diversified Mortgage Services paid a $500 civil penalty for failing to update its name with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and for not providing a corresponding surety bond endorsement. Friedman Law Associates was ordered to cease and desist from unlicensed debt negotiation activities in Connecticut and to pay a $10,000 civil penalty. Both enforcement actions resulted from investigations by the Consumer Credit Division of the Connecticut Department of Banking.
