The Connecticut Department of Banking lists branch activity applications for Evolve Bank & Trust and United Bank. The Commissioner issued a Temporary Order to Cease and Desist and summary suspension against Educational Funding Company, Inc. for failing to provide requested records during an examination. Additionally, UMC, Inc. and Brandon P. Chodosh were ordered to cease and desist and pay civil penalties of $300,000 and $100,000 respectively for operating without a license, charging undisclosed advance fees, and providing falsified mortgage approval letters.
