The Connecticut Department of Banking suspended the licenses and issued cease and desist orders against six consumer collection agencies, including Apex Financial Management and Bureau of Accounts Control, for failing to maintain required surety bonds. The department also entered into a consent order with Guidance Residential, LLC, imposing a $500 civil penalty for failing to update its branch office address with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry. Additionally, the bulletin notes that East West Bank opened a loan production office in East Berlin, Connecticut.
