The Connecticut Department of Banking issued cease and desist orders and civil penalties against Renaissance Legal Group, Ronny Mor, and Mehdi Moarefian for engaging in unlicensed debt negotiation, requiring each to pay $100,000. The Department entered a consent order with M.M. Dillon & Co. LLC, directing the broker-dealer to implement revised supervisory procedures and remit $4,050 for administrative fines and past due agent registration fees. Additionally, an order to cease and desist was issued against Greenberg International Law & Tax Advisory, Mike James, Robert Dunn, and Richard Fox for alleged violations including acting as unregistered broker-dealers and agents, and engaging in fraudulent securities transactions.
