The Connecticut Department of Banking approved the opening of a loan production office by Farmington Bank in Branford and a full-service branch by Thomaston Savings Bank in Oakville. The Commissioner entered into consent orders with five mortgage entities—Top Flite Financial, Freedom Mortgage, Mortgage Solutions of Colorado, FFC Mortgage, and Omega Financial Services—for violations including failure to timely file name or address changes and surety bond updates, resulting in $500 civil penalties for each. Additionally, SKO-Brenner-American paid a $20,000 civil penalty for violations involving consumer collection agency licensing, trust account maintenance, and creditor remittances.
