The Connecticut Department of Banking approved the opening of a full-service branch by Eastern Savings Bank in Norwich and the relocation of the UBS AG Stamford Branch. The Department approved the merger of MiddConn Federal Credit Union into Dutch Point Credit Union. The Commissioner refused to renew the mortgage broker license of QuinStreet Media, Inc., and entered into consent orders with MMS Mortgage Services, Sound Mortgage, and Benchmark Municipal Tax Services, imposing civil penalties totaling $20,500 for licensing and reporting violations. Additionally, a permanent bar was issued against Paul Anthony Steffany for misappropriating estate funds and forging signatures.
