The Connecticut Department of Banking approved United Bank to relocate its full-service branch from Springfield, Massachusetts, to One Monarch Place in the same city. The department also granted approval to State Street Global Advisors Trust Company to establish a trust office at 1600 Summer Street in Stamford, Connecticut. In enforcement actions, the Commissioner ordered Evans Law Associates and Jason J. Evans to cease and desist from operating as unlicensed consumer collection agencies and imposed a $100,000 civil penalty on each. Additionally, the Commissioner issued a Notice of Intent to Deny registrations and a Notice of Intent to Fine against James Albert Pettit for alleged unethical securities practices, including unauthorized borrowing and self-dealing.
