The Connecticut Department of Banking solicits public comments on branch applications from Bankwell Bank, Salisbury Bank, Newtown Savings Bank, and Berkshire Bank, as well as branch closures by Community Credit Union. The Commissioner issued a Restated Order against Great Plains Lending, LLC, John R. Shotton, and Clear Creek Lending, affirming civil penalties totaling $1.5 million for unlicensed lending and usury violations. Additionally, the Department entered Consent Orders requiring Telmate, LLC to pay $7,500 for unlicensed money transmission and RPM Capital Management, LLC to pay $10,400 for securities registration and supervisory failures.
