Branch Activity

Section 361-145 of the Connecticut General Statutes requires certain applications for a branch, of for a limited branch at which loans will be made, address how the establishment of the branch will be consistent with safe and sound banking practices and promote the public convenience and advantage. Plans are submitted when such applications are filed and are available for public inspection and comment at this Department for a period of 30 days. Acquisition

On August 4, 2017,
Donald J. Vaccaro withdrew the acquisition statement to acquire between 25% to 49.9% of the voting securities of Prime Bank , a Connecticut bank and trust company headquartered in Orange, Connecticut, that he had filed on May 22, 2017, pursuant to Section 36a-184 of the Connecticut General Statutes.

CREDIT UNION ACTIVITY

Merger

On August 2, 2017,
America’s First Network Credit Union
(“AFNCU”), a Connecticut credit union, and
East Haven Municipal Employees Credit Union, Inc.
(“East Haven”), a Connecticut credit union, filed an application pursuant to Section 36a-468a of the Connecticut General Statutes seeking approval to merge East Haven with and into AFNCU. As part of the application, AFNCU is proposing to expand its field of membership to include: Board of Education of the town of East Haven, CT; employees of the Fire Department and the Police Department of the town of East Haven; and all employees of the town of East Haven.
