M&T Bank Corporation filed to acquire People’s United Financial Inc., and its subsidiary Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company filed to merge with People’s United Bank, N.A. American Eagle Financial Credit Union filed notices to close branches in Middletown and Farmington by April 30 and May 1, 2021, respectively. E*Trade Financial Corporate Services, Inc. entered a consent order paying a $10,000 civil penalty and $1,125 in back licensing fees for unlicensed money transmission. Waterbury Financial LLC and David Sylvester Watson Sr. received temporary cease and desist orders and were ordered to make restitution for unlicensed mortgage lending and brokering activities.
