The Department of Banking approved Savings Bank of Danbury to establish a full-service branch at 295 Westport Avenue in Norwalk, Connecticut, and issued a temporary certificate of authority to Banking Circle US organizers to establish an uninsured bank in Stamford. Regarding securities violations, Abbington Investment Group, LLC and Mountain Vista Wealth Management, LLC each entered into stipulations and agreements to pay $2,500 fines for transacting business from unregistered branch offices in Connecticut. These enforcement actions resolved allegations that the firms violated Section 36b-6(d) of the Connecticut Uniform Securities Act by operating without proper branch registration during specified periods.
