The Connecticut Department of Banking approved Freedom Credit Union to establish a branch in Enfield, Connecticut, with an anticipated opening in August 2022. The Commissioner also approved the merger of New London Municipal Employees Credit Union into Scient Federal Credit Union, effective in August 2022. Additionally, Felix Scherzer and the Scherzer Family Trust withdrew their acquisition statement to acquire more than 10% of the voting securities of Patriot Bank, N.A.
