The Connecticut Department of Banking approved Bank of England to establish a loan production office at 1224 Main Street in Branford, with a proposed opening in April 2023. The Commissioner entered into consent orders with IMPAC MORTGAGE CORP. and EQUITY MORTGAGE, INC., each requiring a $500 civil penalty for failing to update their main office address in the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry within thirty days and for failing to provide required surety bond endorsements. Written public comments regarding the branch application must be submitted to Banking Commissioner Jorge L. Perez within ten business days of the bulletin date.
