The Department of Banking approved Thomaston Savings Bank and Fairfield County Bank to establish full-service branches in New Britain and Danbury, respectively, with proposed opening dates in September and July 2023. The Commissioner also approved the merger of First Connecticut Credit Union into Finex Credit Union, effective June 30, 2023. Enforcement actions included revoking Pallida, LLC's consumer collection agency license, summarily suspending Jeffrey Lenard Moore's mortgage loan originator license, and entering consent orders requiring Sound Mortgage, LLC to pay a $7,500 civil penalty and Mutual of Omaha to pay a $500 civil penalty. Additionally, the Commissioner issued an order to cease and desist against Blackstone Wealth Solutions LLC and its principals for alleged securities fraud and unregistered investment adviser activities.
