The Department of Banking approved the name change of Currency Reserve Bank to Numisma Bank and authorized Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union to close its North Haven branch by May 17, 2024. The Commissioner revoked the Connecticut mortgage lender licenses of Guaranty Home Mortgage Corporation and issued a cease and desist order due to the failure to maintain required surety bonds. Additionally, a temporary cease and desist order and notice of intent to impose civil penalties were issued against Compattia Roccia Management Group, LLC for operating as an unlicensed consumer collection agency and failing to cooperate with investigations. A consent order required Central Mortgage Funding, LLC to pay $75,000 in civil penalties and $4,100 in back licensing fees for violations including employing unlicensed mortgage loan originators and failing to maintain proper records and disclosures.
