The Connecticut Department of Banking issued Temporary Orders to Cease and Desist against BH Debt Co. and Alex W. d/b/a Wilson Judgment Recovery for operating as unlicensed consumer collection agencies and failing to provide requested information. Additionally, the Commissioner entered into Consent Orders with HFS Financial LLC and Willow Processing LLC d/b/a BrokerVA regarding unlicensed small loan activities and violations involving unlicensed loan processors. HFS Financial paid a $10,000 civil penalty, $1,200 in back licensing fees, and reimbursed borrowers, while BrokerVA paid a $10,000 civil penalty and reimbursed processing fees to affected borrowers.
