The Central Bank of Iceland conducted a quarterly lending survey among four commercial banks covering the period 1 July to 14 August 2026. The results indicate that mortgage loan supply increased marginally while corporate credit supply remained unchanged. Banks expect interest rates on non-indexed household and corporate loans to rise due to higher key interest rates and funding costs, while foreign currency loan rates are projected to decline.
