Dear Insurance Business Management Companies,
Subject: License Renewal for 2026

Greetings,

Based on the provisions of paragraph (a) of Article (15) of the Instructions for Licensing Insurance Business Management Companies and the Principles Regulating and Supervising Their Business No. (36) of 2010, which states as follows: "An insurance business management company must submit an application for license renewal annually, no later than forty-five days before the expiration of its license, which falls on the 31st of December of each year, according to the form prepared for this purpose..."

We request that you submit your license renewal application for 2026 by no later than Thursday, November 27, 2025, and provide us with the following:

1. Completion of the license renewal form available on the Central Bank of Jordan's website and attaching the specified requirements within it.
2. A statement detailing the activities conducted during the previous year according to the form prepared for this purpose.
3. A statement listing the insurance companies and self-funded funds contracted with, and the expiration date of each agreement.
4. A statement including the name of the General Manager of the insurance business management company or those in charge of management, as appropriate, its senior employees, and the names of persons authorized to sign.
5. A non-criminal record certificate from the competent authorities for each of the Board of Directors members, the General Manager, and the senior employees of the company, as appropriate.
6. A copy of a valid professional liability insurance policy.
7. An updated copy of the company's registration certificate with the Companies Control Department, as appropriate (extracted from the website).

8. An updated copy of the commercial name/trademark registration certificate with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, as appropriate.
9. Clarification of the detailed address of your office location and providing us with a recent copy of your office lease agreement.
10. Signing the written declaration form confirming compliance with the conditions stipulated in Articles (19-21) of the Insurance Business Regulation Law No. (12) of 2021, and undertaking to inform the Central Bank immediately if any of the conditions contained therein cease to be met for each of the Board of Directors members, the General Manager, and the senior employees of the company, as appropriate (Form CBJ/ISPs/F1/V1).
11. Signing the address declaration form.
12. A copy of the passport or national ID card for each of the Board of Directors members, the General Manager, and the senior employees of the company, as appropriate.
13. Details of your non-Jordanian employees, confirming that they hold valid work permits and/or residence permits, as appropriate.
14. Providing us with the appointment request for a Data Protection Officer on the attached form, along with all relevant documents, and adhering to the conditions and procedures stipulated in Article (11) of the Personal Data Protection Law No. (24) of 2023 and the provisions of paragraph (d) of Article (3) of the Data Protection Officer Accreditation Standards issued by the Data Protection Council.
15. Payment of the due annual fees and attaching the deposit receipt.

We emphasize the necessity of submitting the application by the specified deadline above to enable us to proceed with its review and take necessary action. Please note that the aforementioned forms are published on the Central Bank of Jordan's website (www.cbj.gov.jo).

Conditions and Qualifications Required for a Data Protection Officer

1. Must be a Jordanian national.
2. Must be of good conduct and character, and must not have been previously convicted of a criminal offense or a crime involving moral turpitude, unless their reputation has been restored.
3. Must possess specialized knowledge in data protection.
4. Must not have been previously dismissed from their job due to breach of duties related to personal data protection under a final judicial ruling or an unappealed disciplinary decision.
