Central Bank of Jordan Memorandum No. 1/2023 Regarding Official Working Hours
The Central Bank of Jordan mandates that the official working hours for licensed banks be from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with public dealings restricted to 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The memorandum specifies operational windows for the Real-Time Gross Settlement System, including a liquidity period from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, and sets deposit acceptance times for Jordanian Dinar deposits between 2:15 PM and 3:15 PM. Additionally, the Bank's Cashier will handle cash transactions with licensed banks from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. These regulations became effective on April 25, 2023.
