CBE Regulation Book 1.7 - Working Hours
The Central Bank of Egypt mandates unified banking service hours for all banks operating in Egypt, setting standard working days from Sunday to Thursday until 5:00 PM. Specific branches located in shopping malls, sports clubs, and residential compounds are permitted to operate until 11:00 PM, 8:00 PM, and 7:00 PM respectively, subject to prior notification and security conditions. During Ramadan, standard operating hours are reduced to 9:30 AM until 1:30 PM. Banks must notify the Central Bank of any deviations from these standard hours.
