The Central Bank of Jordan mandates that all supervised banking and financial services providers adopt a unified complaint classification system starting from the second quarter of 2020. This requirement implements the Instructions on Internal Procedures for Handling Consumers’ Complaints (no. 1/2017) by standardizing how complaints are categorized across sectors. The directive attaches a detailed classification table covering electronic services, commissions, interest rates, professional behavior, payment cards, marketing, contracts, remittances, and account classifications.
