Change in Daily Minimum Cash Reserve Maintenance Requirement

The minimum daily maintenance of the Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) for scheduled banks is increased from 90 percent of the required CRR to 99 percent. This change becomes effective for the fortnight beginning October 16, 2026. Scheduled banks must maintain the average of their daily CRR at or above the level prescribed by the Reserve Bank of India.
