The Bank of Mexico modifies section M.11.11.15.1 of Circular 2019/95 to require that check skeletons issued to account holders comply with specific automated processing standards established by the Mexican Bank Association. The circular repeals sections M.92.4 through M.92.44 regarding passive operations. Effective December 26, 2007, institutions must inform account holders of these requirements, and checks issued after April 30, 2009, that do not meet the standards may only be paid in cash or credited to an account held by the drawee institution.
