Circular 26/2008 — Electronic Attention Module
Multiple Banking Institutions and Brokerage Houses must register their designated Representatives and Operators with the Bank of Mexico to submit authorization requests and consultations exclusively through the Electronic Attention Module (MAE). The regulation establishes technical and procedural requirements for electronic signatures and data messages, mandating that all such submissions be processed via the MAE starting January 2, 2009. Entities unable to comply by this deadline must notify the Bank of Mexico by December 31, 2008, to continue using the previous submission procedures until the situation is resolved.
