SUBJECT: MODIFICATIONS TO THE PROCEDURE TO ACT AS MARKET MAKERS FOR GOVERNMENT SECURITIES
The Bank of Mexico, in its capacity as the financial agent of the Federal Government, based on the provisions of Article 28, paragraphs sixth and seventh, of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States; Article 3, fraction III, Article 7, fraction I, and Article 10 of the Bank of Mexico Law; Article 22 of the Law for the Transparency and Ordering of Financial Services; Article 8, paragraphs third and sixth, Article 17, fraction I, and Article 19 Bis, fraction XI of the Internal Regulations of the Bank of Mexico, which provide for the powers of the Central Bank, through the Central Banking Provisions Directorate and the Market Analysis and Evaluation Directorate, respectively, to issue provisions; the Sole Article of the Agreement on the Affiliation of the Administrative Units of the Bank of Mexico, fractions I and IV; and at the request of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, attaches a copy of Office No. 305.-106/2008, dated July 30, 2008, through which the aforementioned Department makes modifications to its Office No. 305.-065/2008, made known by this Central Institute through its Circular 20/2008. The foregoing, so that they may be able to know it.
