Circular CSSF 22/803 on the introduction of a semi-annual data collection on lending indicators related to commercial real estate

Credit institutions and branches of EU and non-EU credit institutions granting commercial real estate loans must submit semi-annual data collections on lending indicators. Reporting is required if the gross carrying amount for loans collateralised by commercial immovable property exceeded EUR 250 million at the lowest solo level on 31 December of the preceding year. Submissions are due on 15 April and 15 October each year via the E-file or SOFiE channels using a dedicated template available on the CSSF website. The circular defines specific metrics including loan-to-value ratios, interest coverage ratios, and debt service coverage ratios, along with detailed classification rules for property types, purposes, and locations.
