Circular CSSF 23/840 — Application of ESMA Guidelines on MiFID II Product Governance Requirements
The CSSF applies the ESMA Guidelines on MiFID II product governance requirements from 3 October 2023, integrating them into its administrative practice and regulatory approach. These guidelines apply to investment firms, credit institutions, UCITS management companies, and external AIFMs providing specific investment services or activities, excluding distributions exclusively to eligible counterparties. The previous ESMA guidelines on this topic cease to apply on the same date.
