Circular Externa SGDB N° 031/2017: Standardization of Transfer Coding for Stock Brokers and Investment Management Companies

The Central Bank of Bolivia mandates that Stock Brokers and Investment Management Companies (SAFI) participating in the Integrated Payment Clearing System (LIP) must use standardized and differentiated account coding for transfers effective June 26, 2017. This requirement applies to operations E30, E33, and E35, necessitating the inclusion of specific additional data fields to distinguish between client resources, broker resources, investment fund resources, and fund management company resources. Additionally, SAFIs managing multiple funds must register the specific Investment Fund Code assigned by the Financial System Supervision Authority (ASFI) using the provided list of funds.
