Subject: New version of the ITR/DFP/IAN System (CVMWIN)

Dear Director of Investor Relations,

This Circular Letter is intended to inform open companies that version 7.0 of the CVMWIN system will be available for download starting February 6, 2006, on the CVM website (http://www.cvm.gov.br, MARKET PARTICIPANTS section, DOCUMENT SUBMISSION item, PROGRAM subitem) and on the BOVESPA website (http://www.bovespa.com.br, COMPANIES section, FOR COMPANIES item, FOR LISTED COS. link, ITR/DFP/IAN SYSTEM) on the World Wide Web.

Until February 28, 2006, the CVM will accept ITR, DFP, and IAN files sent via both versions of the CVMWIN system – 6.0 and 7.0. After this date, electronic files may only be sent in the new version (7.0), including resubmissions.

The new version of CVMWIN brings two relevant changes to all forms (ITR, DFP, and IAN), namely:

• creation of new activity sectors replacing the "Admin. Cos. and Holdings" sector; and
• creation of open company situations for "Judicial Recovery" and "Extrajudicial Recovery".

Regarding the Annual Information (IAN) form, in addition to the modifications mentioned above, other changes were implemented, among which we highlight:

• inclusion of a field to inform about the existence of preferred shares with classes;
• inclusion of a field to identify, by class, the preferred shares in circulation in the market;
• increase in the capacity of the number of items in the table indicating shareholding position, so that the shareholding position of holders of more than 5% of ordinary and/or preferred shares is included;
• inclusion of a field to identify, by class, the quantity of preferred shares held by a shareholder;
• inclusion of a field to inform the total value of judicial shares and a field to include observations regarding them; and
• inclusion, in the System help, of the definition of "Related Person", to guide the filling of fields related to shares in circulation in the market, in "Group 3 – Capital Distribution", "Table 1 – Events related to Capital Distribution".

Before sending any electronic file, it is important to read the system help, especially regarding the items that have undergone modifications, as it has been revised. Questions can be clarified by email: CVM IT Systems Support.
