Rule · CVM · 27 Oct 2006
The CVM requires listed companies to update their registration data in the CVMWEB module, specifically correcting inconsistencies in the independent auditor history and other registration details. Companies must enter the current and previous independent auditors in the "Auditor History" field, ensuring the start and end dates reflect the actual contract period and covering the period from 1999 onwards, while updating other data in the "Registration Update" field. This update must be completed within five days of any change, as mandated by Article 13, item III of CVM Instruction No. 202/93.
CIRCULAR LETTER/CVM/SEP/No. 003/2006
Rio de Janeiro, October 27, 2006.
SUBJECT: Update of registration data for listed companies
Dear Director of Investor Relations,
We refer to CIRCULAR LETTER/CVM/SEP/No. 02/06, of March 16, 2006 (available on the CVM website at www.cvm.gov.br), particularly item 14, which highlights that companies are obligated to update their registration data with the CVM within five days of any change occurring, in view of the provisions of Article 13, item III, of CVM Instruction No. 202/93, as well as that, since February 16, 2004, under the terms of CIRCULAR LETTER/CVM/SEP/No. 01/04, information regarding independent auditors and the registration data of listed companies began to be updated through the aforementioned website, in the "Participant Registration Update" option.
Regarding this matter, we inform you that, despite the alerts in the aforementioned Circular Letters, we have identified several inconsistencies in the registration of listed companies, especially regarding information related to the history of independent auditors.
Therefore, we request that you, if applicable, update in the CVMWEB Module (available on the CVM website on the Internet):
a. in the "Registration Update – Auditor History" field, the information regarding the current and previous independent auditor(s), noting that the start and end dates in the aforementioned module refer to the period of effective validity of the contract with the auditor. The auditor history should contain information regarding the exercise from 1999 onwards; and
b. in the "Registration Update" field, the other registration information.
Sincerely,
Signed original by
