Open companies must use version 8.2 of the CVMWIN system to submit ITR, DFP, and IAN forms starting July 12, 2007, with a transition period allowing both versions 8.1 and 8.2 until July 11, 2007. Version 8.2 introduces an automatic alternative transmission path to mitigate technical issues and adds fields to identify Independent Board Members in the IAN form. Resubmissions are also required to use the new version from the effective date.
CIRCULAR LETTER/CVM/SEP/No. 003/2007
Rio de Janeiro, June 29, 2007
SUBJECT: New version of the ITR/DFP/IAN System (CVMWIN)
Dear Investor Relations Director,
This Circular Letter is intended to inform open companies that version 8.2 of the CVMWIN system will be available for download from July 2, 2007, on the CVM website (http://www.cvm.gov.br, MARKET PARTICIPANTS section, DOCUMENT SUBMISSION item, PROGRAM subitem) and on the BOVESPA website (http://www.bovespa.com.br, COMPANIES section, FOR COMPANIES item, FOR LISTED COMPANIES subitem, ITR/DFP/IAN SYSTEM link) on the World Wide Web.
Until July 11, 2007, the CVM will accept the submission of ITR, DFP, and IAN forms via both versions of the CVMWIN system – 8.1 and 8.2.
From July 12, 2007, ITR, DFP, and IAN forms may only be submitted in the new version 8.2, including resubmissions.
The new version 8.2 of CVMWIN incorporates a new function to make the submission of forms less subject to potential technical problems. It allows documents to follow an alternative path in case their normal route to the CVM is blocked. Both methods occur automatically after executing the "Generate File for Delivery" command. Thus, the user will continue to proceed with version 8.2 in the same way as with version 8.1: once the login/password screen is displayed, to complete the submission of a form, the user must indicate the location of the corresponding file and confirm.
Furthermore, in the Board of Directors and Management Composition section of the IAN form, two new descriptions have been included to identify the Independent Director (full and alternate), if applicable.
Finally, we inform you that questions may be clarified via email: suporte@cvm.gov.br or by phone at (21) 3233 8504 or (21) 3233 8261.
Sincerely,
ELIZABETH LOPEZ RIOS MACHADO
Superintendent of Corporate Relations
