Effective May 15, 2023, access to CVMWeb and related systems requires exclusive use of the GOV.BR login, discontinuing the previous native password authentication. For API users, a new key generation functionality becomes available on April 10, 2023, replacing the native login and password method, which remains operational only until June 30, 2023. This transition consolidates the use of Government Digital services and integrates CVM systems with the broader GOV.BR user base.

Subject: Discontinuation of native CVMWeb login
Dear Sirs,
The publication of this Circular Letter aims to announce that, starting from May 15, 2023, identified access ("login") to CVMWeb and related systems will be exclusively via "GOV.BR Login," which we have already offered as a second access option since 2020.
Having passed the stabilization phase of using the GOV.BR platform as a means of access to CVMWeb and related systems, due to the greater robustness, flexibility, and security it offers, CVM has opted to migrate to the tool on an exclusive basis. Thus, starting from May 15, 2023, it will no longer be possible to access the CVMWeb or related systems using the old password.
For more information on how to create your GOV.BR account, if you do not yet have one, please access the link https://www.gov.br/pt-br/servicos/criar-sua-conta-gov.br.
We also inform that the discontinuation of the tool also meets CVM's strategic objectives of consolidating the use of services provided by the Digital Government, deepening the process of digital transformation and integration of government services for a community that, regarding GOV.BR, already has nearly 150 million users.
Finally, for users of the information processing web service (API), there will be a new functionality in CVMWeb starting from April 10, 2023, which will enable the generation of access keys, replacing the login and password in the API (which does not use GOV.BR login). For more details on the generation and use of keys, please access the technical documentation attached to this letter.
The native CVMWeb authentication will continue to function specifically in the API until June 30, 2023, when it will be fully replaced by authentication based on access keys.
