Subject: XML Standard File of the Essential Information Sheet of Investment Funds

Dear Sirs,

We inform you that the layout and validator for the XML standard file of the Essential Information Sheet of investment funds (“Lâmina”), a document that must be sent monthly to the CVM, in accordance with Articles 40-A and 40-B, both of CVM Instruction No. 409/04, are available on the World Wide Web, as specified below:

• Standard:

By making the layout and validator of the file available, this agency hopes to contribute to investment fund administrators being able to develop and test procedures intended to comply with the aforementioned regulatory commands.

We clarify, for the record, that as soon as a technological solution allowing the sending of Lâminas in XML format is available, we will issue a new Circular Letter, communicating this fact to the market. Our expectation is that the aforementioned solution will be implemented shortly.

Furthermore, for the record, we remind you that, as provided for in Article 40-C, item II, of CVM Instruction No. 409/04, the investment fund administrator “must publish, in a prominent place on their World Wide Web page and without password protection, the updated sheet.”

Should you need additional clarification regarding issues related to the sending of the Lâmina, we inform you that the CVM’s external support service for computer systems must be accessed via messages to the electronic address suporteexterno@cvm.gov.br.
