CIRCULAR LETTER CVM/SMI No. 03/2006.

Subject: New fields in the CDA XML file

Dear Sir,

The CVM Superintendence of Market and Intermediary Relations informs investment fund administrators that the standard for the XML file of the "Investment Composition and Diversification Demonstration CDA" document now includes, as of 05/15/2006, 3 new tags in the non-coded assets block (<DEMAIS_N_CODIF>):

I. <TP_PF_PJ_EMIS>, which must be filled with PF if the issuer of the asset being reported is an individual, or with PJ if it is a legal entity;
II. <NR_PF_PJ_EMIS>, which must contain the CPF/CNPJ of the asset issuer. Dots, dashes, slashes, and leading zeros must be omitted;
III. <NM_EMIS>, which must be filled with the name or corporate name of the asset issuer, with a maximum of 150 characters.

Until 06/30/2006, these tags will be optional for investment funds regulated by CVM Instructions No. 409/04 (investment funds and fund of funds) and 279/98 (Mutual Funds for Privatization – FGTS).
However, the CDA for June/2006, which must be sent to the CVM by 07/10/2006, must incorporate these new pieces of information, especially when describing applications in:
CDB/RDB,
CPR – Rural Product Note,
NCA – Agribusiness Commercial Note,
CDA – Agricultural Deposit Certificate,
CDCA – Agribusiness Credit Rights Certificate, LCA – Agribusiness Credit Note, CRA – Agribusiness Receivables Certificate, WA – Agricultural Warrant, CCB – Bank Credit Note, CCCB – Bank Credit Certificate Note, Promissory Notes, Commercial Paper, Export Note, Real Estate Receivables Certificate, Other private securities, Debentures that cannot be reported in the coded assets block due to lack of trading code.
The <DESC> tag, which already existed in the previous standard, must from the June/2006 statement onwards, in addition to the asset description, inform its maturity date, if applicable.
