Circular Letter No. 2401 — Discloses the documentation required for instructing processes for the authorization of gold purchase and sale, a financial asset, by mining cooperatives and associations

CIRCULAR LETTER NO. 002401

DISCLOSES THE DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR INSTRUCTING PROCESSES FOR AUTHORIZATION OF PURCHASE AND SALE OF GOLD, FINANCIAL ASSET, BY MINING COOPERATIVES AND ASSOCIATIONS.

Having regard to the provisions of Article 2 of Law No. 7.766, of 11.05.89, and Article 5 of Law No. 7.805, of 18.07.89, we communicate that:

Art. 1. In applications for authorization to trade gold, financial asset, by mining cooperatives or associations, the following documents must be presented to the Regional Department of the Central Bank of Bra- zil that has jurisdiction over the headquarters of the applicant:

I - a request in which the following must appear:
a) identification of the entity (name, address, and CGC/MF); b) a justified exposition of the request; c) names and qualifications of the members of the statutory bodies; d) area of coverage of their operations - Municipality, State or Fiscal Region; e) names and positions of the signatories. II - a copy of the deliberative act, if applicable; III - a copy of the permission or concession for mining issued by the National Department of Mineral Production - DNPM.

Art. 2. This Circular Letter enters into force on the date of its publication.
