Circular Letter No. CC/2023/00000043 on EBA Recovery Plans
The Bank of Portugal emphasizes that credit institutions must follow EBA Guidelines and Recommendations regarding recovery plan scenarios, group plan coverage, recovery plan indicators, and overall recovery capacity. These EBA texts, applicable from 2015 to 2024, are taken into account by the Bank of Portugal in supervisory activities and in interpreting applicable legal and regulatory provisions to verify compliance. The Bank of Portugal has communicated its intention to comply with these EBA Guidelines and Recommendations to the EBA.
