The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago mandates that regulated persons attach proof of payment when submitting applications under the Central Bank (Payment of Supervisory Fees and Charges) Regulations, 2011. Effective November 21, 2011, payments under $1,000 must be made via cash or certified cheque, while amounts exceeding $1,000 may be paid by certified cheque, Automated Clearing House, or reserve account deduction. This directive applies to financial institutions, insurance companies, and pension fund plans, requiring insurance entities to notify their agents of the new payment arrangements.
