The Central Bank of the Republic of Argentina modifies the minimum liquidity requirements for financial entities, effective June 1, 1999. The daily integration requirement is set at 80% if a previous monthly average deficiency exceeded the permitted transfer margin. Penalties for non-compliance are calculated using the interest rate for rediscounting illiquidity on non-financial private sector credits, with unpaid charges accruing interest at 40% effective annual rate.
